It means “The Great Mushrooms Collecting Tour”… despite the fact that we have gathered very little mushrooms ;-D

Look at us: WE CAN PLAY TOGETHER, WE CAN TALK AND SPEND TIME WITH PARENT AND GRANDPARENTS, WE CAN INTEGRATE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY (MAKING FRIENDS), WE CAN LEARN FROM EACH OTHER F.E. ABOUT PAST TIME ACTIVITIES, FOREST PLANTS, PICKING UP MUSHROOMS, WE CAN IDENTIFY FOREST PLANTS OUTSIDE, WE CAN ORGANISE OUR FREE TIME SENSIBLY  AND ECOFRIENDLY, WE CAN SPEND THE WHOLE DAY IN THE FRESH AIR, WE CAN TAKE CARE OF THE WOODS

17th October 2015,Barlinek.

It was the very nice hiking tour with Nordic Walking sticks through the woods to the Paper Mill. Children from our school, students from the Secondary School №2, parents and grandparents, other members of the local community – all in a great mood, hand in hand despite the age and origins. Organizers succeded in the effort of  gathering  generations and people from different social environments of our local community together. They tried to teach healthy lifestyle, science in practice and ecology in action, find out places from our local history, learn more about our local treasures- FOREST, PAPERMILL.

This year the NW tour was organized by Forest Inspectorate, Tourist Information Center and Association for the Protection of Heritage Młyn Papiernia.

Few years ago teachers from our school started cooperation with CIT, Forest Inspectorate and other subjects in organizing and running Nordic Walking Tours for the local community and also  in teaching NW. We had the very first NW instructors in Barlinek.

During the project our students take part in the events connected both with Nordic Walking and active forms of spending leisure time. All tours are closely linked to the ecological and environmental issues. Thanks to the beauty of our region on the one hand and relations with the Forest Inspectorate on another kids have got the chance to learn in action. Nowadays more and more often kids invite their families to take part in trips and tours.

This time participants were wondering through the woods, collecting chestnuts, acorns and mushrooms, identifying tree leaves, creating bouquets of autumn leaves- forest ikebana, took part in contests.

There was a bonfire and delicious food and lots of good fun. The youngs and olds  learnt, talked, sung and played together. It was a great day!
