I can …. grow things in our school to sell at sports day.

We bought trays of annual flowers, like lobelia, fuchsia and geraniums.  We also bought compost and empty planters. We used these materials to make up lovely planters for people’s gardens.

We also bought parsley to split up into pots, grow on, and sell at sports day.

We had quite a lot of problems because of the wet cold spring in Scotland and we used our new greenhouse roof to create a mini greenhouse, so that the plants could develop and flower.

We set up a shop at sports day to sell our plants. Everything sold well, except for the parsley, which was too small because it hadn’t had time to grow properly because of all the bad weather. We were pleased with the money we made.
