Making Animal Masks

by (sco)

On Monday the 5th of September 2015 Mrs Carse our old art teacher came in to make animal masks with us.

If you want to make one…….

You will need……

  • A piece of cardboard the size of your face
  • Coloured tissue paper
  • Scissors
  • PVA glue
  • A pencil

Step1.

We first got a piece of cardboard and cut it in to the size of our face. We then drew the animal that we wanted and cut it out.

Step 2.

We then had to cover the animal shape in tissue paper, the colour that the animal was. We used orange, white, red, blue, pink, purple, black, gold, yellow and green. You can use as many colours as you like.

Step 3.

Then we got the spare card board and cut out shapes that would fit on it. (e.g. eyes, nose, antlers, spots, teeth) We covered them in tissue paper as well.

Step 4.

Then to finish it off we had to stick on all of the parts, then to poke eye holes in the eyes we used a pencil so that we could see that we could see.

So there you have it: we made an animal mask and so have you! Here are how the animals masks turned out for us.
